Rosemarie "Ree" Hoggan

Rosemarie "Ree" Hoggan, 77, of Parsons, passed away at 11:25 a.m., Friday, December 18, 2020, at Labette Health.

Rosamarie Murtaugh was born on April 3, 1943, to Lawrence and Eleanor (Speciale) Murtaugh in Chicago, Illinois. As a young girl, she grew up and attended school in Chicago and Crystal Lake, Illinois, where she graduated from high school.

She worked as a librarian at Millard North High School in Omaha, Nebraska, for a time. While living in Parsons, she worked several years as a paraprofessional for USD 503 at the Parsons Middle School.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Parsons. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially in the Yellowstone Park area. She also enjoyed reading.

Ree and George C. Hoggan were united in marriage in Pocatello, Idaho. He survives of the home.

One son – Aaron Hoggan and his wife, Chelsee, of Parsons, Kansas

Four step daughters – Sherry Murphy of Texas

Ebbie Wooten of Texas

Tracy Simmons of Texas

One grandson – Lawrence Hoggan

One daughter-in-law – Erika Hoggan of Florida

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Adam Hoggan; and one sister.

A memorial service will be held at a later time for Mrs. Hoggan. Cremation services are under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
