Roy L. Sperry, 88, of Edna, Kansas, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012, in the Emergency Room at Labette Health.
He was born August 11, 1924, in Cherryvale, Kansas, to Charles C. and Elizabeth Eldora (Byers) Sperry. In the early 1950's, he lived on a farm with his parents near Dennis until moving with his family to Mound Valley in 1958.
He attended Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe, Kansas and earned a Bachelor's degree from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. In earlier years, he worked as a radio and TV repairman and, in 1978, became owner and operator of his own TV repair business until his retirement in 1990. In 1988 he moved to Edna where he had lived since.
He was a former member of the United Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Following cremation, burial will be in Mound Valley Cemetery under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. A family memorial service will be held at that time.
