Ruby R. Angel, 79, of Parsons, passed away at 6:50 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Elmhaven East Nursing Home in Parsons.
She was born May 17, 1937 at Seneca, Kansas to Albert Herman Lange and Ellen (Kennedy) Lange. She grew up and attended schools in Sabetha, Kansas and then moved to Parsons where she continued school. Ruby worked for the former Glen Berry Garment Factory in Oswego and also as a health care assistant for various locations including Parsons, Columbus, Galena and Pittsburg.
She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed antiques, music, especially playing the piano and helping others. She had attended the Assembly of God at Oswego, Kansas.
She was first married to Marvin Barker on August 10, 1957. He preceded her in death in November 6, 1997. She then married, William "Bill" Angel on October 30, 1999 at Columbus, Kansas. He passed away on April 10, 2010.
Survivors:
Son: Stephen Barker – Larned, Kansas
Daughter: Teresa Erb and her husband, Randy – rural Parsons, Kansas
Two Grandchildren: Paula Moore and Michael Barker
In addition to her husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery south of Oswego, Kansas.
