Ruby M. Donald, 90, of Oswego, died at 3:49 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2010, at the Oswego Home Place.
She was born November 5, 1919, in Cabool, Missouri, to John and Etta (Hunter) Kelley. She grew up and attended school in southern Missouri and was a graduate of Humansville High School.
On June 27,1942, she and Walter Donald were married in Camdenton, Missouri. After his discharge from the U.S. Army, the couple moved to Kansas where they lived on a farm in rural Oswego for 30 years. They then moved into Oswego where they lived the following 30 years. He preceded her in death November 20, 2008.
She enjoyed sewing, oil painting, and was a fabulous cook. She was a previous member of the First Baptist Church in Altamont. After moving to Oswego, she became a member of the First Methodist Church in Oswego.

Maxine Young Bolivar, MO

Numerous Nieces and Nephews
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Floyd Donald; and son-in-law, David Ashby.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Altamont. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Fort Scott National Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kansas. Friends may call at their convenience at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont after 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
