Ruby Mae Lindeberg, 92, of Parsons, died at 12:40 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Elmhaven East Nursing Home.
She was born April 22, 1922 in Faulkner, Kansas to Roy and Beulah (Harris) Best. As a young girl, she grew up and attended school in the Faulkner area and later attended high school in Maramec, Oklahoma.
She was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Oswego where she had attended since 1948. She was a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years, held numerous offices in the women's ministries, and was past missionette coordinator.
She and Harold V. Lindeberg were married December 23, 1939 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1983.
Survivors include one son, Harold "Roy" Lindeberg, of Parsons, KS; one daughter, Veronica Street, of Midwest City, OK; one granddaughter she raised in her home, Kathy Lindeberg, of Parsons, KS; three grandchildren and two step-grandsons.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, six sisters, two grandsons, Bryan Lindeberg on March 1, 2006, and Stephen Street in 1970; and a daughter-in-law, Joy Lindeberg, on July 8, 2011.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2014 at Oswego Cemetery under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home. Friends may call at their convenience after 2:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
