Ruth Ann Egbert, 71, of McCune, died at her home Friday morning, June 15, 2007.
She was born June 13, 1936, in Gate, Oklahoma, to John Ira and Mary Salome (Vance) Bratton. She moved, with her family, to Crawford County in 1946 where she later graduated from McCune High School.
She and Marvin Lee Egbert were married on June 13, 1954, in McCune, Kansas. Following marriage, she sold real estate for several years and also operated a floral shop at her home.
She enjoyed flowers, bird-watching, sewing and quilting. She was a member of the Osage Church of the Brethren, Young Farm Wives and the Prairie Gardeners Club.

She was preceded in death by one infant son, Timothy Joseph Egbert; and one brother, James Lloyd Bratton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at the Osage Church of the Brethren in rural McCune. Burial will be in McCune Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2007, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
