Ruth I. Mcguire

Ruth I. McGuire, 79, of Parsons, formerly of Cherryvale, died at 3:40 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2009, at Labette Health. She had been in failing health.

She was born June 22, 1929, in Thayer, Kansas, to John and Pearl Mae (Bundy) Plotner. She grew up and attended school in Thayer. In the mid 1950's, she moved to the Cherryvale area where she lived most of her adult life.

She and Warren Gene McGuire were married. They later divorced.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2009, at the Mound Valley Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.
