Ruth Marie Shull

Ruth "Marie" Shull, 69, of Mound Valley, passed away at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018 at her home.

She was born April 18, 1948 in Jasper, Missouri to Louis R. and Mary E. (Sharp) Mevius.

On December 30, 1966, she and Jack L. Shull were married in Jasper, Missouri.

She worked at Labette Health for 25 years as a kitchen supervisor and later at Wal-Mart until retiring in August of 2017.

Marie loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also was an avid reader and enjoyed her cat, Shadow.

One Sister – Rose Johnson and her husband, Cliff, of Carthage, MO

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Mevius; her husband, Jack L. Shull, on April 26, 2005; two sons, Jerrod R. Shull and Claude L. Shull; and two brothers, Steven Mevius and Thomas Mevius.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.  Cremation will follow.
