Ruth A. "Tuttie" Wiggins, 49, of Parsons, died at 5:35 a.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012 at her home. She had been in failing health.
She was born February 24, 1963, in Escondido, California, to James Bernard and Carol Joan (Knight) Wiggins. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Parsons where she attended grade school at Washington Elementary and later moved back to California where she attended Jr. High and High School.
In 1992, she returned to Parsons where she had lived since. Through the years, she had worked as a waitress at Ernesto's and, most recently, at Country Mart and Casey's as a cashier.
She loved animals and plants. She especially enjoyed being involved with her children and their activities and spending time with her grandson.
Survivors include:
One Son – Dustin Dishman of the home
Two Daughters – Melissa Dishman Dallas, TX
Stacia Dishman of the home
One Grandson – Payden Dishman
One Brother – Bill Wiggins and wife, Leanna Andover, KS
One Sister – Donna Yeoman and companion, Robert Henslee Parsons, KS
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Private graveside services will be held by the family. A public memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at the Parsons Foursquare Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the church.
