Ryan Kasson

Ryan Kasson, 44, of Coos Bay, Oregon, and formerly of Parsons, Kansas, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at his home.  His death was unexpected.

Ryan Wayne Kasson was born on December 27, 1976, in Lawrence, Kansas.  As a young boy, he moved to Altamont where he grew up and went to school.  In 1995, he graduated from Labette County High School and then attended Labette Community College for a time.

Throughout the years, Ryan lived and worked in various places and at various sales and retail jobs.  He had moved to Coos Bay, Oregon, in 2015 and worked at GoodWill.  He loved kids and coached soccer and little league baseball for several seasons in Parsons before moving west.  He enjoyed fishing with his sons and he loved dogs, especially dachshunds.  He was a born showman and a talented musician as anyone could see when he played his drums or guitar.

Sons – Dakota Kasson, Hunter Kasson, Ryan Kasson, Jr.

His mother – Rexanna Sanders and her husband, Bill, of Baldwin City, Kansas

His uncle – Walter Boore and wife Theresa Roach of Clarkston, WA

His aunt – Linda Boore McNeil of Dallas, TX

His father – Larry Kasson and his wife Bonnie, Wichita Falls, TX

His niece -  Isabella Reeder, Wichita Falls, TX

His step sister – Tiffany Needham and husband Nathan, Lawton, OK

His nieces – Alica & Karrah McCann, Lawton, OK

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dora Boore, Altamont, KS

The funeral service will be at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons, KS, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.  Burial will follow at the McCune Cemetery in McCune, KS.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM.   The service begins at 10:00 AM.
