Sabrina D. Burnett

Sabrina D. Burnett, 31, of Parsons, died at 11:55 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2010, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, following a courageous two-year battle with cancer.

She was born June 21, 1978, in Garnett, Kansas, to Garry R. and Roberta N. (Lockwood) Kirkland. She grew up and attended schools in Garnett and was a 1996 graduate of Garnett High School.

She and Michael Burnett were married May 16, 2009, in Parsons. She worked as a daycare provider at Amanda's Angels Daycare in Parsons.

Sabrina was an adoring mother who especially enjoyed spending time with her two sons, Blain and Corbin. She also enjoyed fishing.

Brother – Russell Kirkland, Jr. Garnett, KS
A Half-Brother – David Sharp Parsons, KS

Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Parsons Municipal Auditorium. The children of Sabrina request that those attending the service please wear blue jeans and pink shirts.
