Sharon Waugh

Sharon (Wester) Waugh, 76, of Grove, Oklahoma, and formerly of Edna, Kansas, passed away at 4:25 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017 at her home.

She was born October 18, 1940 in San Diego, California to Harvey Leon and Mildred Fern (Newman) Wester.  While her father was serving in the United States Navy, Sharon lived in various places around the country before moving to Edna in 1956.  She graduated from Coffeyville High School and later attended Coffeyville Junior College.  She worked as a model from 1956-1958 at H.W. Reed's Department Store in Coffeyville.

On November 23, 1958, she and Jerry Dale Waugh were married in Miami, Oklahoma.  Following marriage, they lived in Coffeyville until moving to Santa Cruz, California in 1959.  They then moved to Rogers, Arkansas in 1976 where they lived until moving to Grove, Oklahoma in 1995.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Edna.  Sharon enjoyed traveling with her family, quilting, crocheting, attending flea markets, gardening, canning, sewing, and reading.

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Jerry Waugh, of the home; two daughters, Cheryl Dotson and her husband, David, of Rogers, AR and Sarah Ausmus and her husband, Phillip, of Bentonville, AR; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and one sister, Jeanne Bowen and her husband, Bill, of Rogers, AR.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Shannon Undernehr in 2013; a son-in-law, Joe Undernehr, in 2010; a grandson, Kyle Ausmus; and a great-granddaughter, Evie Gale.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Edna.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time, on Saturday, at the church.
