Sharyl R. Phillips, 71, of Parsons, passed away at 4:15 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Parsons Good Samaritan Society.
She was born August 20, 1943 in Parsons, Kansas to Carl and Lois (Craig) Swofford. She grew up in Parsons where she attended school and was a 1961 graduate of Parsons High School. From 1977 through 1980, Sharyl owned and operated Phillips Greenhouse in Parsons. She then worked at Wal-Mart from 1983 until retiring in 1997.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church. At the age of 16, Sharyl joined the VFW Auxiliary and at that time was the youngest member in Kansas. When her sons where young, she enjoyed coaching Little League. She also enjoyed plants, flowers, and her pets.

One Daughter – Marilyn Wilson Tulsa, OK
Seventeen Grandchildren – Brock Phillips, Brett Phillips, Bryce Phillips, Hayden Morton, Ashley Phillips, Jon Byrd, Chad Phillips, II, Esther Logue, Abby Logue, Kacy Phillips, Shailan Phillips, Kolby Vaughn, Kayla Bryant, Katie Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Cash Wilson, and Josh Belknap
Two Great-Grandchildren – Maicee and Mykai
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Chad Phillips, on May 9, 2009 and Scott Phillips on October 24, 2013; and one sister, Karen Boals, on November 17, 2006.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
