Shawn A. Sexton

Shawn A. Sexton, 24, of Parsons, passed away Friday, January 24, 2025, at Labette Health in Parsons.

Shawn Austin Sexton was born on August 28, 2000, to Stephen E. and Tricia L. (Adams) Sexton in Parsons.  He grew up and attended school in Parsons, graduating from Labette County High School in 2018.  In August, Shawn began working at PowerFlame, where he was currently employed.

Growing up, Shawn attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in Parsons.

An attentive father and partner, Shawn loved his family.  He was a hard worker who would do anything for his son and his family.  Shawn was dearly loved by his family and was especially close with his mother.  He enjoyed using his creative, artistic talents to draw.  An adventurous spirit, Shawn enjoyed exploring and taking trips.

His companion – Sierra Conner of Parsons, Kansas

His mother – Tricia Sexton (James Burke) of Galesburg, Kansas

His father – Stephen Sexton of Parsons, Kansas

Two brothers – Justin Sexton of Overland Park, Kansas

Dante Sexton of Parsons, Kansas

He was preceded in death by his brother, Zach Burke, on July 1, 2016.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.  Visitation will be the hour prior to the service. Private inurnment will be at a later date at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
