Shelly I. Kenworthy, 41, of Stark, Kansas, died at 10:14 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center from complications due to a vehicle accident on May 13, 2014 in Neosho County, Kansas.
She was born January 28, 1973 in Oswego, Kansas to Billie Joe and Delores (Boston) Myers. As a young girl, she grew up in Martinez, California and later moved with her family to Oklahoma and Kansas. She attended Labette County High School in Altamont. Throughout her adult life, she lived in various locations throughout the United States.
She loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and camping.
She and Jim Kenworthy were married May 16, 2008 in Parsons. He survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her mother, Delores Tighe, of Parsons, KS; two sons, Joshua Hodge, Sand Point, ID and Jr. Kenworthy, of the home; four daughters, Samantha Kenworthy, Dallas, TX, Nicole Clark and her husband, Aaron, of Coffeyville, KS, Heather Bode, of the home, and Gracie Kenworthy of the home; two brothers, Rick Myers, Parsons, KS, and Steve Myers, St. Paul, KS.
She was preceded in death by her father,one grandson, and one brother, B. J. Myers.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. No services are planned at this time.
