Sherri A. Riggs

Sherri A. Riggs, 54, of Parsons, passed away at 11:52 a.m., Monday, October 28, 2024, at her home.

Sherri Annette Leon was born on April 11, 1970, to Alfred Louis and Marie Joy (Alley) Leon in Parsons.  She grew up and attended school in Parsons.

One of Sherri's greatest gifts was being able to care for others.  For the last several years until her health failed, Sherri cared for residents at Parsons State Hospital and Training Center.

In the past, she attended St. Patrick Catholic Church.

She loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include:

Three sons – Justin Boatright (Ashlynn Waun) of Parsons, Kansas

Tylar Boatright (Heather) of Gainesville, Florida

Steven Leon of Parsons, Kansas

Nine grandchildren

One brother – Freddie Leon (Juanita) of Colorado

Three sisters – Christie Jenkins (John) of Parsons, Kansas

Julia Leon of Kansas City, Kansas

Tonya Dominguez (Fermin) of Parsons, Kansas

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Billy Boatright.

The memorial service will be at 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.  A private family inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
