Sherry L. Oldenburg

Sherry L. Oldenburg, 61, of Parsons, passed away at 8:48 a.m., Friday, March 24, 2023, in the Labette Health Emergency Department.

Sherry Lynn Richardson was born on March 7, 1962, to Gerald Dean Richardson and Linda Kay (Nixon) Richardson in Parsons.  As a young girl, she grew up and attended school in Parsons until moving with her family to Kansas City, Kansas.  She graduated from Piper High School in Kansas City in 1980.

Over the years, Sherry worked at various jobs and lived the Kansas City area until moving back to Parsons in 2015.  After moving to Parsons, she worked as a home healthcare worker for SKIL.

Sherry loved spending time with her grandchildren.  Her dog, Chloe, was very special to her.  She enjoyed gardening.

One son – Caleb Oldenburg of Parsons, Kansas

Two grandchildren – William Oldenburg and Zachariah Oldenburg

Her father – Gerald Richardson of Independence, Kansas

Four brothers – Mark Richardson of Odessa, Missouri

Steven Richardson of Kansas City, Missouri

Mike Richardson of Arkansas

Robert Wiltfong of Kansas City, Kansas

Two sisters – Debbie Petzoldt of Kansas City, Kansas

Shanna Wiltfong-Cavasos of Kansas City, Kansas

Her significant other – Lloyd Sheppard of Parsons, Kansas

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Wiltfong.

No service has been planned at this time.  Cremation is under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
