Rev. Sherry Elaine (Tosh) Brown, 54, of Valeda, Kansas, died at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 26, 2007, at her home. She had been in failing health.

She was born January 15, 1953, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Norman Chester and Lillie Marie (Toy) Tosh. She grew up and attended school in Valeda and later attended Labette County Community High School in Altamont.

On November 20, 1969, she and Jon D. Brown, Sr. were married in the United Methodist Church in Valeda. He survives of the home.

She was a homemaker most of her life, having worked at Windsor Place in Coffeyville briefly. She was a member of Southview Church of God in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Chester Tosh; her mother, Lillie Marie Wishall; one brother, Chester Tosh; four sisters, Frances Collins, Jackie O'Brien, Vickie Tosh and Karen Hamil.

Following cremation, a memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 1, 2007, at the Southview Church of God in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Burial will be in the Mound Valley Cemetery.
