Socorro Asebedo, 86, of Parsons, passed away at 7:02 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Labette Health in Parsons.
She was born May 16, 1928 in Parsons, Kansas to Espodito and Clotelde (Martinez) Hernandez. As a young girl, she grew up in Parsons where she attended Our Lady of Victory Catholic School.
On September 3, 1949, she and Joe J. Asebedo were married at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Following marriage, they lived in Parsons until moving to Miami, Oklahoma in 1972. In 1983, they returned to Parsons where they have lived since.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. She enjoyed housekeeping and watching television.

One Granddaughter – Felicia
Three Great-Grandchildren
One Brother – Henry Hernandez Kansas City, KS

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
