Stephen Waldo Brown V, 60, of Parsons, passed away early Monday morning, October 15, 2007, at his home.

He was born May 22, 1947, in Quincy, Massachusetts, to Stephen Waldo Brown IV and Enes (Casna-Donanti) Brown. He grew up in Hingham, Massachusetts, graduating from Weymouth High School. Before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma, he served in the U.S. Air Force.

In Tulsa, he enjoyed building race cars and working on automobiles, as well as raising his three children. Brown spent over 18 years serving Mac Tools before going into business for himself forming Tulsa Independent Tool Supply.

On December 25, 2004, Brown married the woman he loved, Gloria Peyton, and shortly thereafter, moved to Coffeyville, Kansas. Brown was thankful to have spent this life with his family and many friends, building race cars, riding Harley's and racing dune buggies.

Brown is survived by his mother, Enes Brown of Hingham, Massachusetts; his two sons, Stephen Richard Brown and his wife, Carrie, of Nevada, Missouri, and Michael Weldon Brown and his wife, Tiffany, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his daughter, Denice Carolyn Haslett, and her husband, Paul of De Pere, Wisconsin; one stepson, Andrew Peyton Stone, of Jenks, Oklahoma; two stepdaughters, Brandy Susana Lee and her husband, Jacob of Owasso, Oklahoma and Elizabeth Adeline Stone of Evanston, Illinois, as well as six grandchildren and his brother, Richard Francis Brown, and his wife, Robin, of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A celebration of Brown's life will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2007, at the Brown home.
