Steven R. Kendrick, 60, of Parsons, passed away at 4:26 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society in Parsons.
Steven Ray Kendrick was born on May 12, 1959, to Josh and Casseal (Ford) Kendrick in Monroe, Louisiana. As a young boy, he grew up and attended school in Rayville, Louisiana. In 1976, Steven moved to Parsons and attended Parsons High School.
He worked various places in the Parsons area, including Beachner Construction, the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant, Wal Mart for seven years and Shields Moving Company for nine years. One of his favorite things to do was to fish.
On March 23, 1991, Steve and Matilda Judith "Judy" Unruh were married in Parsons. She survives of the home.

Three sisters – Trebie Bartholomew and her husband, Martin, of Parsons

He was preceded in death by his parents, Josh and Casseal Kendrick; three brothers, Josh Kendrick, Billy Ray Kendrick and David Mosley; and four sisters, Cassie Mae Moses, Gloria Jean Kindrick, Effie Collins, and Ola B. Kendricks.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
