Steven L. Stich, 47, of Galesburg, died at 8:34 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute. He had been in failing health.
He was born August 14, 1959, in Chanute, Kansas, to John R. and Betty L. (Chase) Stich. He grew up and attended schools in Thayer and was a 1977 graduate of Altoona-Midway High School. He later attended Coffeyville Vo-Technical College for one year. He farmed in the rural Thayer area before becoming disabled in 1996. He and his family moved to Galesburg six years ago.
On January 7, 1977, he and Mary Lea Price were married at the Vilas Bethel Lutheran Church. She survives of the home.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed woodworking, welding and doing repair work on tractors and mowers.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Parsons where he also served as a trustee.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2007, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery, rural Thayer.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2007, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
