Stewart W. Bradley, 49, of Chetopa, passed on Monday, December 21, 2020, at his home.

Stewart Wayne Bradley was born on March 22, 1971, to Justin A. and Geraldine (Pugh) Bradley in Coffeyville, Kansas. As a young boy, he grew up and attended school in Chetopa. He attended high school in Batesville, Arkansas.

For a time, Stewart lived in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, where he worked at Elite Manufacturing in Decatur, Arkansas, and later at Wal Mart in Siloam Springs. In 2001, Stewart returned to Chetopa and worked at Black Opal Manufacturing in Oswego for a short time. He then worked at Williams Machine for several years and was currently employed at ATEC Steel.

His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and sports. Stewart was an avid New England Patriots fan.

In 2000, Stewart and Melinda Compton were united in marriage. The couple later divorced.

Survivors include:

Two sons – Waylon Pike of Galena, Kansas

Tyler Pike and his wife, Haley, of Chetopa, Kansas

Two grandchildren – Hestin and Jace Pike

His mother and step-father – Geraldine and Danny Castle of Chetopa, Kansas

One step-brother – Tim Castle and his wife, Kelly, of Lake Wales, Florida

One half-sister – Ariel Bradley of Mt. Vernon, Missouri

Four step-sisters – Tammy Bushong and her husband, Lee, of Chetopa, Kansas

Tina Martin and her husband, Kenny, of Platte City, Missouri

Anita Ahrens of Duncan, Arizona

Jamie Wylie of Dyersburg, Tennessee

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Randall Bradley.

The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the Community Bible Church in Chetopa. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until the service begins. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa. The funeral service can be viewed live on the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home Facebook page. For all events, social distancing guidelines will be followed, including the requirement of face masks.
