Susan B. "Susie" Merrick, 69, of Altamont, died at 4:35 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2007, at Labette Health. She had been in failing health.
She was born November 2, 1938, in Bensheim, Germany. She grew up and attended schools in Germany.
On June 23, 1966, she and David Merrick were married in Tacoma, Washington. They moved to Altamont in 1978 where they have lived since.
She enjoyed crocheting and attending craft shows.
SURVIVORS:
Husband - David Merrick of the home, Altamont, KS
One Son - David A. Merrick Altamont, KS
One Daughter – Elke Holsinger and her husband, David, Parsons, KS
She was preceded in death by two daughters and one son.
Following cremation, a graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2007, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont. Friends may call to sign the register at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont after 9:00 a.m., Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the Altamont First Responders. These may be left at or mailed to Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 325, Altamont, KS 67330.
