Sylvia M. McGowan, 69, of Parsons, formerly of Chanute, died at 6:35 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Parsons Presbyterian Manor. She had been in failing health.
She was born October 22, 1939, in San Angelo, Texas, to Alvin Perry and Virginia May (Farmer) McGowan.
She had lived in various locations throughout her adult life, and most recently, moved to Parsons where she had lived the past year.
She especially enjoyed spending time with other residents while living at Presbyterian Manor.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE:
Three Sons
One Daughter
One Brother – Pete
Two Sisters – Deloris "Puggy" & Martha
She was preceded in death by one daughter.
