Tammy Jo Clements

Tammy J. Clements, 58, of Parsons, passed away at 1:05 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2022 at her home.

Tammy Jo Cook was born March 4, 1964 in East St. Louis, Illinois to George Thomas Cook, Sr. and Betty Kay (Barnes) Cook.  Tammy moved with her family to Erie, Kansas where she grew up and attended school.   She graduated from the Erie High School in 1982.  Tammy lived in Edmond, Oklahoma where she was a social worker for Oklahoma State DHS from 2004 to 2015 until moving to Parsons where she had lived since.

Tammy enjoyed sewing, collecting apples and angels.  She also enjoyed scrapbooking, doing her daughter's hair and making wicker baskets.  She attended the Parsons Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include:

One son:  John Clements (Abigail) – Miami, Oklahoma

Three Daughters:  Michelle Kile – Parsons, Kansas

Megan Keegan (Anthony) – Parsons, Kansas

Victoria Clements – Parsons, Kansas

Ten Grandchildren:  Aurora Keegan, Wyatt Keegan, Grace Clements, Beau Clements, Jazzmine Clements, Paisley Clements, Caleb Kile, Virginia Kile, Zoey Kile and Rosetta Kile

Mother:  Betty Groeniger – Erie, Kansas

Four Brothers:  Tracy Cook (Michelle) – Columbia, Missouri

Tommy Cook and Tony Cook – both of Chanute, Kansas

Timmy Roux – California

One Sister:  Tonya Ray (Brian) – Martin, Tennessee

In addition to her father, George Cook, Sr., she was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Cook, one sister, Tina Showalter and a granddaughter, Jazmine Grace Clements.

A memorial service for Tammy Jo will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
