Tanja Drumm, 55, of Dennis, Kansas, died at 12:30 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2009, at Labette Health. She had been in her usual health and death was not expected.
She was born May 27, 1953, in Chatham, Ontario, Canada to Hans Karl and Jeannine (DeDobbelaere) Ernst.
As a young girl, she grew up in Canada. At the age of 10, she moved with her family to the United States where she lived in Reno, Nevada. While in Reno, she earned an Associate degree. In 2000, she moved to southeast Kansas where she had lived since.
She raised Maltese dogs and loved drag racing. Over the years, she had nurtured approximately 90 foster children in Nevada and Parsons.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dennis.
She and Stanley Drumm were married February 22, 2002, in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at the United Methodist Church in Dennis. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
