Terri M. Brungardt, 47, of Parsons, passed away at 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Woodridge Estates in Parsons following a courageous battle with her illness.
She was born December 23, 1967 in Parsons, Kansas to Francis and Rosalind M. (Schibi) Brungardt. As a young girl, she grew up in Galesburg where she attended Galesburg Elementary School. She later attended Erie High School, Labette Community College, Pittsburg State University and the University of Kansas where she earned her Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree.
Terri worked as a social worker at the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services in Parsons and Chanute and the Four County Mental Health Center in Independence. While in Independence, she continued her education by attaining her LSCSW (Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker) certification. Terri then worked the next ten years at RADAC (Regional Alcohol and Drug Assessment Center) in the Pittsburg and Frontenac area. In earlier years, Terri had also worked at Bates Flowers in Parsons.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. Terri enjoyed needlepoint, walking, crocheting, and floral design. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Brungardt, on December 11, 1985; an infant sister, Debra Kathleen Brungardt; and her brother, Kirk Brungardt, on August 29, 2004.
The funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
