Terry G. Reeves, 69, of Parsons, passed away 6:55 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at his home.
Terry Gale Reeves was born to Ernest Franklin and Evelyn Marie (Bonnett) Reeves on July 2, 1950, in Burley, Idaho. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Parsons. He grew up and attended school in Parsons and graduated from Parsons High School in 1968.
From 1969 to 1975, Terry served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He also worked for MKT Railroad and for Delta Truck Body in Parsons. For several years, he was a carpenter with his father.
Terry was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Another favorite activity was racing cars and he went to the Mo-Kan drag races quite often.
On January 18, 1971, Terry married Lynn S. Minor in Parsons, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Survivors include: His wife – Lynn S. Reeves of the home; Two sons – Brian Reeves and his wife, Crystal Dawn, of Altamont and Scott Reeves and his wife, Angie, of Parsons; One daughter – Sharon Campmier of Parsons; Fifteen grandchildren – Kimmy, Jennifer, Samie, Joseph, Derrick, Quentin, Mia, Tylor, Daniel, Rusty, Tierra, Adrienne, Miranda, Selena, and Devon; Eight great-grandchildren; Three brothers – David Reeves and his wife, Jean, of Parsons, Bill Reeves and his wife, Jane, of Parsons and Mark Reeves and his wife, Debra, of Parsons; One aunt – Dottie Heady of Joplin, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 19, 2019, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. There will be a visitation from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Springhill Cemetery in Parsons.
