Thelma M. Hall, 95, of Chetopa, passed away at 5:40 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the Chetopa Manor.

Thelma Myrtle Kepner was born on April 15, 1925, to Charley and Clara (McGhee) Kepner in Chetopa, Kansas. She grew up and attended school in Chetopa, graduating from Chetopa High School in 1942.

Following high school graduation, Thelma went to Vallejo, California, where she worked for the Pacific Telephone Company. In 1978, after returning to southeast Kansas, Thelma went back to school at Coffeyville Community College and earned an Associate's degree in Nutrition. She then worked for Presbyterian Manor in Parsons and Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Thelma was a member of the First Christian Church of Chetopa. She was also a member of the Evergreen Rebekah Lodge in Chetopa, the Sunflower Rebekah Lodge in Parsons, Excelsior Eastern Star in Chetopa, and the Chetopa Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, especially crocheting and paint-by-number; doing crossword puzzles; and baking and making candy.

In 1950, Thelma and William Hall were united in marriage. William served in the United States Army, so the family lived in several locations over the years. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2009.

Survivors include:

Three sons – William "Bill" Hall and his wife, Robin, of Parsons, Kansas

Dale Hall of Parsons, Kansas

Terry Hall of Chetopa, Kansas

Eleven grandchildren

Fifteen great-grandchildren

Three great-great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Hall; one son, James Hall; and one daughter, Sharon Robinson.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 19, 2020, at the Lake Creek Cemetery in Bartlett. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
