Theodore G. "Ted" Stueber, 89, of Parsons, passed away at 9:20 a.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Elm Haven East Nursing Home.
He was born on August 12, 1931, to Carl F. and Helen G. (Prendeville) Stueber in Parsons, Kansas. He grew up and attended school in Parsons, graduating from Parsons High School and Parsons Junior College.
From 1952 to 1954, Ted served in the United States Army with the occupation forces in Germany. Following his honorable discharge from the military, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri, and continued his education. In 1963, he returned to southeast Kansas and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Pittsburg State University.
Ted began working for the Department of Labor in western Kansas in 1965 and eventually became manager of offices in Liberal and Dodge City. He retired in 1991 and returned to Parsons in 1996 to be closer to his family.
He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Some of his favorite activities were traveling, reading and going on walks. Ted also had a special appreciation for Ford Mustangs.

One sister-in-law – Joan Stueber of Shawnee, Kansas
One brother-in-law – Arley Journot of Parsons, Kansas
Numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Stan Stueber; and one sister, Patricia Journot.
There will be a graveside service at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 29, 2021, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Military Honors will be given by the Brown-Bishop Post #704, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Parsons. The service can be viewed live on the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home Facebook page. For all events, social distancing guidelines will be followed, including the requirement of face masks.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
