Theodore L. "Ted" Billingsley, 59, of Galesburg, and formerly of Abilene, passed away at 4:55 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Labette Health in Parsons.
He was born June 7, 1958 in Kirksville, Missouri to Albert Logan and Ruth Earline (Shaffer) Billingsley. He grew up in Greens Fork, Indiana and attended school in Hagerstown, Indiana. He later attended Nebraska Christian College in Norfolk, Nebraska.
Through the years, he worked at various jobs including a diesel mechanic, truck driver, bus mechanic, and bus driver.
He recently attended Thayer Christian Church. His passion was teaching hunter's education classes. He loved to hunt and work in his woodshop. For several years, he worked as a caregiver for an elderly friend and also as a CNA/CMA at Village Manor Nursing Home in Abilene.

Teresa Hogg and husband, Gene Galesburg, KS
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. No services are planned at this time.
