Thomas M. "Big T" Edwards, 76, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and formerly of Parsons, Kansas, passed away at 4:33 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at his home.
He was born January 1, 1940 in Parsons, Kansas to Virgie O. Edwards. As a young boy, he grew up in Parsons where he attended Douglass Elementary School and later Parsons High School.
On October 30, 1960, he married the love of his life, Deloris J. Porter, in Parsons. For a time, "Big T" worked at Kinzie Furniture Store in Parsons. In 1988, he began working for the M-K-T Railroad as a forklift operator and, after 37 years of service, retired from the Union Pacific Railroad.
While living in Parsons, he was a member of the Brown Chapel AME Church. He enjoyed playing dice, slot machines, and his guitar. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virgie Edwards; and a twin brother, Charles Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Watson Memorial Church of God in Christ in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Friday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
