Thomas Michael "Mike" Flynn, 85, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and formerly of Parsons, Kansas, passed away at 7:30 a.m., Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Claremore Veterans Center in Claremore, Oklahoma.
He was born April 2, 1933 in Parsons, Kansas to John Joseph "Joe" and Mary Margaret "Peg" (Conley) Flynn. He grew up in Parsons where he attended St. Patrick schools and in 1951 graduated from St. Patrick High School. He later attended Kansas State Teachers College of Pittsburg.
Mike proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Parsons.
For many years, Mike worked in the family banking business, the former State Bank of Parsons. In 1992, he moved to Broken Arrow where he had lived since.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Parsons. In earlier years, he was a member of the Parsons Riding Club and was a current member of the Oil Capital Rod and Gun Club in Coweta, Oklahoma. He loved horses. Mike enjoyed hunting, shooting targets, and was a great story-teller.
He and Pat D. (Bryant) Strahan were married on May 3, 2006 in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home.

Two Sisters – Peggy Settle-Kenefick and her husband, Don, of Brookings, SD
Paula Worsham and her husband, Paul, of Arroyo Grande, CA
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Kurt Flynn; and one brother, Pat Flynn.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parsons. The rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m., Friday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends immediately following the rosary at the funeral home.
