Timothy J. "T.J." Jacobs

Timothy J. "T.J." Jacobs, 64, of Erie, died Wednesday evening, September 7, 2011, at his home. He was born April 21, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland to William Hamlen and Ethel Delores (Imhoff) Jacobs. He grew up and attended school in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Following high school, he lived and worked in Maryland several years. He and Robin M. Klenklen were married December 9, 1988, in Annapolis, Maryland. In 1993, they moved to Erie, Kansas where they have lived since. He was a member of the St. Ambrose Church in Erie, the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society in Maryland. He loved drag racing and had been a racecar driver several years. He especially enjoyed traveling up and down the coast during his racing years. He also enjoyed flower gardening, especially roses. Survivors include: Wife – Robin Jacobs of the home One Daughter – Danielle Jacobs of the home Mother – Ethel Jacobs Erie, KS Two Brothers – Michael Jacobs Owings Mills, MD William Jacobs Pasadena, MD Two Sisters – Eileen Beacham Aiden, NC Elizabeth DeMoss Erie, KS He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother. The funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Erie. The rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, at the church where the family will receive friends immediately following the rosary. Memorials are suggested to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
