Tina M. Showalter, 39, of Erie, died at 8:25 a.m., Thursday, September 28, 2006. She had been in failing health for several years.
She was born July 30, 1967 at East St. Louis, Illinois to George Thomas Cook, Sr. and Betty K. (Barnes) Cook. She moved with her family to Wichita where she attended school until moving to Erie, Kansas where she also attended school. She had lived in Erie since then.
She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and playing cards.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Cook.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday at the Temple Baptist Church in Erie. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery near Erie. The family will receive friends at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home from 3 to 4 p.m., Sunday. Memorials are suggested to a fund to help the family with expenses.
