Treva "Joan" Stangle, 57, of rural Parsons, died at 8:43 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
She was born February 16, 1956, in Parsons, Kansas, to Junior C. and Theresa B. (Whetzel) Stangle. She was a 1975 graduate of Labette County High School in Altamont. Joan was a lifelong resident of the Parsons area and was currently residing on the family farm near Parsons.
She enjoyed watching television and spending time at home.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles Stangle, of the home; and Tim Stangle of Parsons; one sister, Carolyn Stangle, of Parsons; two nephews, two nieces and two great-nieces.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2013, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Dennis. Friends may call at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons from 5-8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
