Troy E. Rye, 53, of Parsons, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at his home.
He was born April 5, 1960 in Sedalia, Missouri to Harold Lloyd and Gracy Mae (Schellingburger) Rye. As a child, he moved with his family to Parsons where he attended Lincoln Elementary School, Parsons Jr. High and was a 1978 graduate of Parsons High School.
Through the years, he had worked at Broderick's and the Flesh Company. He had attended Calvary Baptist Church in Parsons. He enjoyed fishing, attending rock concerts, was an avid K.C. Chiefs fan and loved his dog, "Dude". He was a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Two Sisters – Marita Closser Pilot Grove, MO
Beverly Ball Parsons, KS
Nephew – Michael Travis Rye Parsons, KS
Nieces – Lora Garrett Parsons, KS
Terresa Jones Pilot Grove, MO
Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Stanley Rye.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
