Verland E. Dringenberg

Verland E. Dringenberg, 95, of Parsons, passed away at 7:45 a.m., Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Society in Parsons.

Verland Eugene Dringenberg was born on April 26, 1928, to John Herrman and Iva (Snyder) Dringenberg in Galesburg, Kansas.  As a young boy, he grew up on a farm in the Galesburg area and attended the area country school.  He graduated from Parsons Senior High School and then earned an Associate's degree from Parsons Junior College.

Following his service in the United States Army, Verland settled in the Parsons area.  He was the owner/operator of Dringenberg LLC, spending his life building many homes in the area and serving numerous people through his plumbing, electrical and HVAC company.  He was tireless in making sure his customers were satisfied.

On June 9, 1951, Verland and Myra Jean Cannon were united in marriage in Bentonville, Arkansas.  She preceded him in death on May 2, 1991.

Survivors include:

One son – Gale Dringenberg (Susan) of Parsons, Kansas

One daughter – Kathy Dringenberg of Parsons, Kansas

Five grandchildren – Clayton Garretson; Brent Dringenberg, Emily Dringenberg (Michael Caddell), Heather McGuire, and Beth Dringenberg

Four great-grandchildren – Damiya Webb, Lynessa Webb, Edie Caddell, and Everley Caddell

One sister – Lorene Stuteville of Manhattan, Kansas

He was preceded in death by his wife; and one sister, Glorene Cannon.

The Celebration of Life for Verland will be announced by the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home at a later date.
