Virginia E. Crumrine, 92, of Welch, Oklahoma, died at 10:10 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born December 21, 1918, in Arcadia, Kansas, to William and Elizabeth (McFadden) Cox. After graduating high school in Tulsa, she moved to Centralia, Oklahoma to live with her parents.
She married Everett Joseph Crumrine November 3, 1939, in Nowata, Oklahoma. After marriage, they lived in various locations before returning to northeast Oklahoma. He preceded her in death April 12, 2005.
She had attended the Assembly of God churches in Welch, Bluejacket and Chetopa, the Community Bible Church in Chetopa, and most recently the Miami Word of Faith Disciples. She loved to read and study her bible and also enjoyed crafts.
Survivors include:
One Son – Thomas J. Crumrine and wife, Toni Chetopa, KS
One Daughter – Linda L. Crumrine Miami, OK
One Granddaughter – Trudi Jo Vail
Three Great-Grandchildren – Gavin, Aaliyah and Wyatt Vail
Two Step-grandchildren – Jennifer and Amanda Carrell
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one infant brother.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the Community Bible Church in Chetopa. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery in Centralia, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time, Tuesday, at the church. Friends may call at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa from 9:00 a.m., until noon on Tuesday.
