Virginia Mayfield, 85, died in Lincoln, Nebraska, on September 23, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.

She was born on April 16, 1939, in Chetopa, Kansas, to Claude and Charlotte Mayfield.  She graduated from the University of Arizona with a business degree and worked for Maricopa County, Arizona, in the finance department and later as the superior court's purchaser. She had a love for all sports and worked security for the Arizona State University's football and baseball games.

She is survived by her children, Tiffanie (Damian) Leffler, Trey Ross and Piper Ross; grandchildren, Elliott and Dallas Leffler; great grandchild, Brooklynn Ross; and brother, Carl Mayfield. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, five sisters, and grandson, Matthew Ross.
