Virginia R. "Renee" Shaw, 40, of Parsons, died at 11:10 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born July 12, 1973 in Monroe, Louisiana to Willie Brown and Virginia Lee. She grew up in Monroe and attended schools in Winnsboro, Louisiana.
In 1999, she moved to Parsons where she had worked at Grandview Products and Southeast Kansas Independent Living (SKIL). She enjoyed playing dominoes and cards and spending time with her family and friends.
She and Will Stringfellow were married. They later divorced. On April 17, 2010 she and Brian Shaw were married in Parsons. He survives of the home.

Following cremation, memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
