Virginia M. Sanchez

Virginia M. Sanchez, 53, of Parsons, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at her home.

Virginia Marguerite Sanchez was born on July 1, 1972, as the oldest daughter of Mary Patricia (Nielsen) and Henry Sanchez. She lived in Parsons for the last 41 years. For the last several years, she has lived and worked with ResCare.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Parsons.

Known as Mom’s goofy girl, Virginia loved and was loved by her big family. She was very expressive and was strong. One of her favorite things in life was participating in Special Olympics.

Her father – Henry Sanchez of Winfield, Kansas

Her sister – Gina Esquibel of Kansas City, Missouri

Four brothers – Mike Sanchez (Julie) of Winfield, Kansas

Joseph Sanchez (Tonya) of Winfield, Kansas

Xavier Reyes of Turon, Kansas

Dustin Esquibel (Andrea) of Hershey, Pennsylvania

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members

She was preceded in death by her sister, Vanessa Reyes; and her grandparents.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2026, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at which time the rosary will be prayed.
