Virginia S. Schild, 74, of Parsons, died at 7:45 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at her home.
She was born on January 30, 1941, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Andrew and Neola Plowman. She grew up and attended schools in Parsons. She graduated from Parsons High School in 1959 and then attended Labette Community College for one year.
Virginia worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant for nine years. She later lived in California, Florida, and Virginia while her husband was in the Navy.
In 1998, she moved to Chanute and worked at Wal-Mart and then moved to Parsons in 2004. While living in Parsons she worked at Wal-Mart in the shoe department. She retired in 2009.
Virginia enjoyed painting ceramics, flower gardening, and reading Facebook.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Parsons.
She was first married to Dale Owen in June of 1960. They later divorced. She married Harley Pilkington in 1976 and they later divorced. She married Jerome "Jerry" Schild in 1998. He survives of the home.

Harold Schild and his wife Sarah Parsons, Kansas
One Step-Daughter – Kathy Hansen and her husband Shane Omaha, Nebraska
Seventeen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
One brother – David Plowman and his wife Terree California
One Half sister – Aline Gross Midwest City, Oklahoma
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Shaw Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.
