Vonda May Brooks, 83, of Parsons and formerly of Girard, passed away at 6:15 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Elmhaven Nursing Home.
Vonda May Romans was born on February 6, 1939, to Charlie and Sylvia (Evans) Romans in Tecumseh, Missouri. As a young girl, she grew up and attended school in West Plains, Missouri, where she graduated high school.
In the mid 1960's, Vonda and Raymond Hargrave were united in marriage. The couple later divorced. In 1969, she married Forest Brown. The couple later divorced. In 1983, Vonda and Raymond Brooks were united in marriage. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2020.
Survivors include:
Two sons – Randy Hargrave and Michael Brown
Two step-daughters – Judy Marcus and Pamela Newell
One granddaughter
One sister – Deanna Cook
No service has been planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
