Wayne Harrison

Wayne Harrison, 78, of Parsons, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020, at his home.

He was born on December 22, 1941, to Nathaniel and Ceola (Day) Harrison in Parsons. Wayne grew up and attended school in Parsons. For a time, he worked at the Parsonian Hotel and later worked for the Katy Railroad. From 1989 until his retirement in 2003, Wayne worked at Dayton Superior. He enjoyed going to the casinos and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include:

One son – Kenneth Wayne Harrison of Salina, Kansas

One daughter – Pamela Denise Cook of Salina, Kansas

Nine grandchildren

Seven great-grandchildren

Several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ronald Dean Harrison and Garland Harrison.

There will be a private family service on Saturday, April 11, 2020, followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends are welcome to sign the register from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 10 at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.
