William C. "Billie" Littlejohn, Jr.

William Calvin "Billie" Littlejohn, Jr, 66, of Oswego, died at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Medicalodge in Ft. Scott, Kansas.

He was born February 2, 1946 at Chetopa, Kansas to William C. Littlejohn, Sr. and Lillie L. (Smith) Littlejohn. He graduated from Chetopa High School in 1964. William worked as a US Postal Service carrier in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he retired.

He served in the US Air Force from 1966 to 1968. He then attended college in Parsons and later transferred to Wichita State University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in 1972.

He enjoyed collecting Native American artifacts and art, researching genealogy and riding motorcycles in his earlier years.

He is survived by one brother, Walter of Chetopa, Kansas; Four sisters, Jennie Kenworthy of Oswego, Kansas, Mae Nading of Chetopa, Kansas, Willa Dean Spriggs of Cherokee, Kansas and Barbara Ruttgen of Parsons, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Norma Jean Peters.

Following cremation, a graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa.
