William E. Boecker, 86, formerly of Parsons, died at 5:17 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2011, at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield, Kansas.
He was born May 14, 1925, in Parsons, Kansas, to Anton H. and Antonia (Hoff) Boecker. He grew up and attended schools in Parsons. He worked with his father on the family farm until entering the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge, he lived in Texas for a time.
He married Lillian Ann Krska on February 19, 1952, in Edinburg, Texas. In 1955, the couple moved to Parsons where he lived until becoming a resident at the Kansas Veterans Home several years ago.
He enjoyed baseball and anything "John Deere".

Pat Kuchem and husband, Chris Stilwell, KS
One Son – Frank Boecker Toyah, TX
Four Grandchildren – Carrie Smith-Beery, Nick Smith, Justin Kuchem and Christin Kuchem

John Boecker Neodesha, KS
Two Sisters – Theresa Gormley Tulsa, OK
Frances Merando Liberty, MO
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Boecker, June 11, 2007; and one sister.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2011, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Kansas Veterans Home.
