William A. "Waddie" Dressler, 61, of Edna, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at his home.
William Arthur Dressler was born on November 18, 1961, to Franklin and Melva (Richards) Dressler in Lawrence, Kansas.
Following high school, Waddie worked at Standard Motors on the general assembly line for many years. After suffering a major heart attack, he worked as a security guard at the oil refinery in Coffeyville. He also worked as a custodian for USD 506.
Waddie enjoyed being involved in the Edna community. For a number of years, he served as the president of BEARS and was in charge of the annual BEARS fishing derby. He loved fishing and camping and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
On May 6, 1997, Waddie and Karin Triebel were united in marriage in Edna. Karin preceded him in death on June 12, 2023.
Survivors include:
Three daughters – Savanna DuBois of Avondale, Arizona
Jessica Blake and her husband, Ben, of Independence, Kansas
Alex Dressler of Coffeyville, Kansas
Three grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Karin.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Edna Community Center in Edna.
