William Wesley Zuck, 72, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014, in Omaha.
He was born December 1, 1941, in Cherryvale, Kansas. He was raised in Cherryvale, attended school in Cherryvale, and in 1960 graduated from high school in Wayside, Kansas. After serving in the United States Navy, he made his home in Omaha.
On June 26, 1965, he married Loretta Wort in McCune, Kansas, and again on August 9, 2002, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Bill was employed by Blue Star Foods, the Diplomat Hotel and Lutheran Medical Center where he was promoted to Chief Engineer at the Power Plant. He was employed by the City of Omaha for 27 years retiring in 2005. Bill also worked part-time for the City of Omaha from 2005 to 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Zuck; son, William Zuck, Jr.; grandsons, William Zuck, III and Alex Zuck; brothers, Gerald Zuck of Cherryvale, KS, Loren Zuck of Somerdale, NJ, Lewis Zuck of Omaha, NE, and Darrell Russell of Lincoln, NE; and sister, Cheryl Stuetelberg of Omaha, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Zuck, Jr. and Viola (Volmer) Zuck; step-father, Beddie Russell; daughter, Anita Zuck; brother, Bobby Lee Zuck; and sisters, Leota Vanhoozier, Virginia and Leona Zuck.
Graveside services and interment will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2014, at McCune Cemetery, McCune, Kansas, with Gerald E. Zuck officiating.
